Prowlers continue to hit unlocked vehicles in Sammamish | Police Blotter Feb. 20 – Feb. 26

The blotter consists of Sammamish police officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Feb. 9

SLEEPING IN THE NUDE: At 2:23 p.m., a man was reportedly found sleeping naked in a landscaping truck in front of Plateau Motors, located at 625 228th Ave. NE. When police arrived, the truck was found unoccupied. The man reportedly took off wearing a brown raincoat.

Feb. 13

UNLOCKED CAR PROWL: At 5:34 a.m., a resident in the 3300 block of 264th Ave. SE reported her unlocked vehicle had been prowled overnight and a suitcase was stolen.

Feb. 15

FRAUD: At 2:31 p.m., a resident in the 2200 block of 274th Court SE reported false charges on her credit card and to her AT&T account.

Feb. 17

VEHICLE FOUND: At 5:29 p.m., a vehicle was found dumped in the 3400 block of 210th Place NE in Sahalee. Police believed it was an unreported stolen vehicle.

Feb. 19

BAD TRIP: At 5:05 a.m., a woman in the 4300 block of 252nd Place SE experiencing a bad reaction to taking acid was transported to the hospital.

Feb. 20

TIRES CUT: At 4:21 p.m., a resident reported the valve stems had been cut off the tires of their truck and trailer at the corner of East Main Drive and Northeast 4th Place. Police reported no suspect information.

Feb. 21

CONSTRUCTION SITE THEFT: At 11:39 a.m., building supplies were reported stolen from a residential construction site in the 24200 block of NE 14th St. Plywood and pace pipes and fittings were among the materials stolen.

Feb. 22

UNLOCKED CAR PROWL: At 7:55 a.m., a firearm was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a residential driveway in the 1700 block of 246th Ave. SE.

UNLOCKED CAR PROWL: At 9:35 a.m., items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 24400 block of SE 20th Place. Police reported some of the property was recovered from a neighbor’s front yard across the street from the crime.

AUTO THEFT: At 11:54 a.m., a vehicle was reported stolen from the Tanglewood apartment complex parking lot, located in the 25000 block of SE Klahanie Blvd.

PACKAGES FOUND: At 4:40 p.m., opened packages were found in the road and wooded area in the 4000 block of 262nd Place SE. Police reported the packages were likely stolen from a nearby residence.

Feb. 23

CAR PROWL: At 8:48 a.m., a vehicle at the Boulder Creek apartment complex, located at 4425 Issaquah-Pine Lake Road SE, was reportedly broken into and a bag was stolen.

STEALING BOOZE: At 7:32 p.m., police responded to a report of shoplifting at the Safeway located at 630 228th Ave. NE. One of three suspects was located and was booked into King County Jail.

Feb. 25

UNLOCKED CAR PROWL: At 9:28 a.m., an unlocked vehicle was rummaged through in the 23500 block of SE 46th Place.
