Residents report smash-and-grab thefts | Sammamish Police Blotter March 13 – March 19

The blotter consists of Sammamish police officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

March 6

IDENTITY THEFT: At 4:09 p.m., a resident of the 3500 block of 207th Ave. SE reported an unknown subject opened a bank account using their personal information and a credit card associated with the account had been used.

March 7

SKYLINE FIRE: At 12:50 p.m., police responded to a fire at Skyline High School, located at 1122 228th Ave. SE. Police reported that commercial mop heads caught fire while in a dryer. The cause was determined to be accidental.

March 8

CRIMINAL WARRANT: At 7:38 p.m., a man was arrested for having an outstanding warrant during a traffic stop in the 2500 block of 244th Ave. NE. The man was transported to SCORE Jail.

March 13

SUNGLASSES STOLEN: At 8:29 p.m., a resident of the 4600 block of 225th Ave. SE reported their prescription sunglasses were stolen from their vehicle. Police reported the value of the sunglasses to be $400.

March 14

CAR VANDALIZED: At 9:18 p.m., a resident of the 2900 block of 204th Lane NE reported their vehicle had been vandalized while parked in their driveway. Police estimated the damages to be under $1,500.

March 15

CAR PROWL: At 3:46 p.m., a resident of the 2000 block of 247th Place NE reported two unknown suspects broke into their vehicle and stole their emergency preparedness bag. The suspects then fled in a vehicle northbound.

CAR PROWLS: At 8:15 a.m., a vehicle prowl was reported in the 25700 block of NE 4th Place. An unknown suspect smashed the back window of the vehicle and took a backpack containing a computer. A similar vehicle prowl was reported at 5:54 p.m. in the 25800 block of NE 1st Place.
