Drivers planning to travel over Interstate 90 east of Snoqualmie Pass won’t have to worry about getting stuck in a rock blasting closure tonight, but plan for more than an hour of added travel time tomorrow night.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and contractor crews cancel the blast scheduled for 7:30 p.m. today. The blast scheduled for Thursday at 7:30 p.m. is expected to be a larger blast closer to I-90. Depending on the amount of material that comes down from the blast, it may take crews longer to clear debris, which could result in a closure longer than one hour.
