The Sammamish City Council will continue their study of the barricades/connectivity issue at their regularly scheduled study session tonight, March 15.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., and will be held at Sammamish City Hall. There will be time for public comment.

The city is looking into the pros and cons of removing some of the more than 30 barricades around the city to improve street connectivity. Many residents oppose the removal of barricades, fearful that increased traffic activity will compromise neighborhood character and public safety.

At Monday’s meeting, city staff will be sharing the public feedback they have received so far, and providing the council with recommendations for the next steps in the process. The city’s Web page, www.ci.sammamish.wa.us/projects/Connectivity, has been updated to include public comments the city has received.

There will be no decisions or final resolutions about actual barricades at this meeting.
