The Sammamish Plateau Water and Sewer District is asking residents to conserve water and to not flush toilets unless absolutely necessary.

The SPSD has experienced impacts to its water and sewer facilities due to power outages Thursday and has activated its Emergency Operations Center to respond to the situation. Water and sewer facilities are on backup generator power, which are being monitered by district staff.

Grinder pump customers need to be aware that pumps will not work during power outages and they should not flush toilets, take showers or put water down the drain until further notice.

Residents are urged to call the SPSD on its 24-hour emergency line, 425-392-6256, if they experience any water pressure or water quality issues.
