Sammamish students honored at science fair

Students from Sammamish who attend the STEM school in the Lake Washington School District, took home a number of awards at the Central Sound Regional Science and Engineering Fair the weekend of March 8-9.

Behavioral and Social Sciences

· Honorable Mention: Lynsey Liu (junior, Sammamish) and Jennifer Yeh (junior, Sammamish)

Computer Science

· Second place: Tiago Ferreira (junior, Sammamish) and Cameron Mackenzie (junior, Sammamish)

Energy and Transportation

· Third place: Pavan Kumar (junior, Sammamish)

· Honorable Mention: Srikar Murali (junior, Sammamish)

Medicine and Health Science

· First place: Meena Meyyappan (junior, Sammamish) and Saakshi Dulani (junior, Sammamish)

· Third place: Warisha Soomro (junior, Sammamish)

Inspiring Excellence Awards

All of the students who competed get an automatic invitation to compete at the Washington State Science and Engineering Fair at Bremerton High School on April 5.
