A 16-year-old Eastlake student accused of attacking a woman and a child last week was charged with indecent liberties and immoral communication with a minor.

A judge has yet to decide whether the teen will be tried as an adult or in juvenile court. The Reporter doesn’t name juvenile defendants.

A 10-year-old was walking home alone when the suspect approached her, grabbed her from behind and touched her May 7. He then said something sexually inappropriate, according to the charging papers.

The girl tried to bite the teen’s arm and kick him. She yelled, told him she had a phone and that she was going to call for help. When he let go, the girl then ran to the nearest house and banged on the door.

The neighbor let the girl in and called her father.

About 3-4 hours later the sheriff’s office received a call that a similar-looking suspect had assaulted a 26-year-old woman.

This time the suspect was waiting inside the home on 240th Way Southeast, Sammamish. The woman had just set her groceries down, when someone forcibly grabbed her from behind, according to the papers.

She screamed and the suspect ran. He was wearing a mask, but she saw his skin color from his shorts. After making sure she was safe, a neigbhor got a description of the suspect and found him in a nearby area “acting suspicious.” He took a photo of the teen, according to the papers.

Because the teen entered the home, he was also charged with first degree burglary.

Police identified the student from the photo. He admitted to wearing the clothes described by the victims and to “bumping” into the girl and the woman.
