Sammamish to host meeting addressing questions, concerns regarding the 2016 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship

The city of Sammamish will host a public meeting Jan. 20 in city hall at 6:30 p.m. to answer questions and address the impacts regarding the 2016 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, which will take place within the city in June.

The city of Sammamish will host a public meeting Jan. 20 in city hall at 6:30 p.m. to answer questions and address the impacts regarding the 2016 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, which will take place within the city in June.

In addition to answering questions and addressing concerns, the tournament and city personnel at the meeting will touch on shuttle transportation, parking, volunteer opportunities, public safety and logistics. All residents are welcome to attend.

The championship, to be contested at the Sahalee Country Club June 9-12, will will bring the world’s finest golfers to Sammamish.

The 156 entrants will compete for $3,500,000 in prize money on the same course that hosted the 1998 PGA Championship and the 2010 Senior U.S. Open.

This will be the first time the Women’s PGA Championship will be played in the pacific northwest.
