Skyline to hold homecoming parade on Oct. 18

The 11th annual Skyline High School homecoming parade will march up 228th Avenue on Friday, Oct. 18.

 

The 11th annual Skyline High School homecoming parade will march up 228th Avenue on Friday, Oct. 18, beginning at Discovery Elementary and heading north to the high school. As usual, the northbound lanes of 228th Avenue will be closed to traffic between 4:30- 6:30 p.m. The southbound lanes will be split in two, allowing two-way traffic to continue.

Traffic control will be provided by police and city staff. As in past years, access from driveways and roads on the east side of 228th Avenue will be limited between Southeast 24th Street and Southeast Eighth Street.

Parade watchers are encourage to show up early for a good seat along 228th. The bands and floats will hit the road at 5 p.m. sharp, and then the homecoming football game will begin at 7 p.m. against the Knights of Newport High School.
