The old Albertson’s grocery store, located on the north east corner of SE 56th and East Lake Sammamish Parkway, at 5530 E. Lake Sammamish Parkway in Issaquah, will soon be home to the Spirit Halloween store.

It will open sometime in Sept. and close a few days after Halloween said Jim Alexander, vice-president and partner in Merlone Geier Partners, a private real estate investment firm which is hoping to find a permanent tenant soon.

It was rumored that Value Village would be moving into the space, but as of yet, no permanent tenant has moved in. The 49,516 square-foot building is too large for Spirit Halloween store, but Alexander said they rented it for the Halloween season last year and used curtains to reduce it to 10,000 to 15,000 square feet.

The building has been vacant for five years.
