Washington State Patrol detectives are investigating a hit and run, injury collision that occurred Monday on Interstate-90, going eastbound, near North Bend (mile post 31) at 1:15 pm.

A white or silver semi-truck towing a container or box trailer struck a black Toyota Prius, causing the Prius to strike a jersey barrier. Eventually the car came to rest in the median.

A passenger in the Prius suffered a severe hand injury and was transported to the hospital by medics. The driver and a second passenger were not hurt.

The semi-truck continued eastbound, possibly last seen by a witness near mile post 40. The semi-truck is believed to have significant damage to the left front of the vehicle and possibly some damage to the trailer. The semi-truck may also have green markings on the side of the cab.

Investigators also believe that the lug nuts on the left front wheel may be damaged.

Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact Detective Vik Mauro at victoria.mauro@wsp.wa.gov or 425-401-7746.
