String of car prowls reported in Sammamish | Police Blotter Jan. 16 – Jan. 22

The blotter consists of Sammamish police officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Jan. 9

STEALING PALLETS: At 9:23 p.m., police received a report of an attempted theft at the Pine Lake QFC, located at 2902 228 Ave. SE. Two unidentified male subjects were caught by the store manager stealing pallets. They replaced four pallets that they took before leaving the scene.

Jan. 10

DUI: At 9:28 p.m., police responded to an accident at the 3100 block of 205th Place NE. A silver Audi had struck a street light before hitting a tree. The driver, who told police he’d had a “couple beers,” was arrested for DUI and was booked into Issaquah Jail.

Jan. 13

IDENTITY THEFT: At 2:38 p.m., a resident of the 2000 block of 211 Place SE reported fraudulent activity on their bank account as well as credit cards being ordered through different agencies.

Jan. 16

CONSTRUCTION ITEMS STOLEN: At 10:02 a.m., items were reported stolen from an unlocked work trailer at a construction site located at the 21000 block of NE Inglewood Hill Rd.

Jan. 18

BROKEN VEHICLE LIGHTS: At 2:35 p.m., police received a report that an unknown suspect broke the passenger-side brake and tail lights on two vehicles at the Knolls Apartments parking lot, located at 22626 NE Inglewood Hill Rd.

UNLOCKED CAR PROWL: At 2:44 p.m., a resident at the 22700 block of SE 27 St. reported a prescription was taken from their unlocked vehicle.

Jan. 19

UNLOCKED CAR PROWL: At 4:25 a.m., a resident at the 2100 block of 227 Ave. SE reported a lottery ticket and pool cues were stolen from their unlocked vehicle.

CAR PROWL: At 7:12 a.m., a resident at the 22600 block of SE 13th St. reported the passenger-side window of their car was broken and a purse was stolen from the front seat.

CAR PROWL: At 7:26 a.m., a resident at the 3000 block of 233 Ave. SE reported the driver-side window of their car had been shattered and cash was taken from the vehicle’s center console.

CAR PROWL: At 8:36 a.m., police received a report that a vehicle parked at the 22500 block of SE 15th Place had both its passenger-side windows broken and a backpack was stolen. School books from the backpack were left at the neighborhood entrance around the corner from the vehicle.

CAR PROWL: At 1:30 p.m., a resident at the 22700 block of SE 12th Place reported a backpack with a computer was stolen from the floorboard of the backseat of their vehicle.

BURGLARY: At 3:01 p.m., a resident at the 22700 block of SE 20th St. reported an unknown person had entered their garage and stole items from their unlocked vehicle.

PAYIN’ WITH FAKE MONEY: At 4:07 p.m., police received a report of forgery. An employee with Sammamish Plateau Water attempted to deposit money from a customer’s bill payment. A counterfeit $20 bill was located.

UNLOCKED CAR PROWL: At 5:14 p.m., a resident at the 23300 block of SE 31st Court reported a laptop was taken from their unlocked vehicle.
