Students invited to get involved in Issaquah’s future

The City of Issaquah is now accepting applications for the Issaquah Youth Advisory (IYA) Board for the 2010-11 school year.

The IYA is a crucial forum for young people in the city to have their say.

As the city enters what is an important stage of commercial and social development over the next decade or more, it is vitally important that the students and young adults that call Issaquah home are able to contribute to its direction, its values, and the services and resources that are available to all residents.

All students grades 6-12, who live within the Issaquah School District, are eligible to apply.

By planning events and service projects, the board is fantastic way to get involved in your community.

The deadline for applications is May 28.
