Suspect uses woman’s birdbaths as toilet | Sammamish Police Blotter Nov. 21 – Nov. 27

The blotter consists of Sammamish police officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Nov. 21

PACKAGE THEFT: At 11:24 a.m., a package was reported stolen from the front porch of a residence in the 500 block of 241st Lane SE.

STOLEN CASH AT SCHOOL: At 7:44 p.m., $250 cash was reported stolen out of a wallet inside a backpack in a high school hallway in the 1100 block of 228th Ave. SE.

Nov. 22

IDENTITY THEFT: A resident in the 3300 block of 212th Court SE reported a Citibank credit card had been opened in their name in Florida.

IT’S FOR THE BIRDS:At 2:30 p.m., a resident in the 25000 block of SE 41st Drive reported an unknown subject has been entering her property and using the birdbaths in her backyard as a toilet. On several occasions over the past year, she has noticed human feces and urine in the birdbaths.

WALLET STOLEN: At 2:57 p.m., a wallet theft was reported by a member at the Sammamish YMCA located at 831 228th Ave. SE.

Nov. 23

HARASSMENT VIA SNAPCHAT: At 7:12 a.m., police responded to a report of harassment via Snapchat at Inglewood Middle School.

CAR PROWL: At 9:33 a.m., police responded to a report of a car prowl in the 100 block of Windsor Drive SE. A vehicle’s rear driver’s side window had been smashed and a bag and headset were taken.

PROWLER ALARMED: At 11:37 a.m., police received video footage of an attempted car prowl in the 25700 block of SE 41st St. The suspect attempted to break into a vehicle and left when the car alarm went off.

UNLOCKED PROWL: At 2:08 p.m., an unlocked car prowl was reported in the 4000 block of 250th Ave. SE.

WARRANT ARREST: At 5:51 p.m., a driver stopped for traffic at the corner of East Main Street and 228th Avenue Northeast was arrested for a felony warrant.

Nov. 24

UNLOCKED PROWL: At 10:55 p.m., a resident in the 25000 block of SE 41st Drive reported an unknown suspect entered and rummaged through their unlocked vehicle.

Nov. 25

BURGLARY: At 12:14 a.m., a resident in the 21200 block of SE 28th St. reported an unknown subject broke a bedroom window to the residence and stole a laptop.

WARRANT ARREST: At 8:20 a.m., the driver stopped for traffic in the 1100 block of 244th Ave. NE was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant out of Lynnwood and booked into King County Jail.

IDENTITY THEFT: A resident at the Tanglewood Apartments reported his identity had been used to open a Verizon Wireless account.

Nov. 26

UNLOCKED PROWL: At 10:15 a.m., a resident in the 25700 block of SE 39th St. reported items stolen from their unlocked vehicle.

AUTO THEFT: At 10:51 a.m., a resident in the 4000 block of 255th Place SE reported their key fob was taken from a kitchen cabinet inside their home and the vehicle was stolen from the street. No other items were reported stolen from inside the home.

CAR PROWL: At 12:13 p.m., police responded to a report of a car prowl in the 22700 block of SE 13th Way. The suspect cut the plastic passenger-side window of a Jeep Wrangler soft top. The glove box and center console were rifled through and a couple of CDs were taken.
