Down the drain: A man called police to say his son found a bag of white powder in the 400 block of Southeast Clark Street two weeks ago and that the son put the bag in the sewer.

Bear scare: A small bear was reported in the 2800 block of Northeast Logan Street. It was believed to have gone between two houses and back into the woods.

Just an open house: A suspicious visitor was reported in the 23200 block of Southeast 54th Place. The officer contacted the current home owner, who said that her home is for sale and their agent had an open house that day.

Party poopers: Two calls were received about loud noise at Blakely Hall, 2550 N.E. Park Drive. An officer arrived to discover that a birthday party was being held and a DJ was playing music. He was told the music would end at 10:30 p.m.

Health scare: An officer responded to a 911 call by a man walking near 70 Front Street North. He said he has liver problems and had a seizure. Eastside Fire and Rescue arrived and transported him to Swedish Hospital.

Stranded kitty: An officer helped free a kitty from a chain link enclosure in the 300 block of Rainier Boulevard South. The owner put a leash on the pet and departed.

Threats: An officer responded to a call in the 18500 block of Southeast Newport Way regarding threats. The caller told the officer she needed advice about her mother’s husband, who makes threats to her mother about her leaving Bangladesh.

Vehicle prowls: Three vehicle prowls were reported in the 18300 block of Southeast Way. A $270 loss was reported from a stolen backpack and damaged car window of a 1998 Subaru. A $700 loss was reported from stolen tools and an iPod dock from a 1971 GMC Suburban. A $730 loss was reported from damage to a window and the theft of an iPod, cash, a camera and sunglasses from a 2006 Acura TSX.

Was he embarrassed?: An officer responded to the AM/PM in the 1400 block of Northwest Sammamish Road to assist the complainant who reported his debit card was stuck in a machine. The officer pulled the card out of the slot and returned it to the complainant.
