City Council Position No. 5

Rich Crispo was far ahead of his opponents with 49 percent of the vote as of Thursday.

Karin Blakley was in second with 28 percent of the vote, while Larry Betsch had 22 percent.

The difference in votes was not that substantial with 96 percent of the ballots counted. Blakley trailed Crispo by 248 votes, while Betsch was behind an additional 74 votes.

Newport Deputy Mayor Dan Hubbell currently holds this city council position. He chose not to run for re-election.

King County Court of Appeals, Division 1, District 1

Judge Position No. 3

Incumbent Judge Anne Ellington held a commanding lead with 75 percent of the vote compared to challenger Robert Kelly’s 25 percent on Thursday afternoon.

Port of Seattle

Commissioner Position No. 3

David Doud of Bellevue and Rob Holland appear poised to face off in the general election.

Holland lead all candidates with 52 percent of the vote Thursday afternoon, while Doud had 32 percent. Al Yuen, also of Bellevue, had 15 percent of the vote.

Commissioner Position No. 4

Tom Albro led all the candidates for the Position 4 seat with 39.97 percent of the vote. Max Vekich trailed with 27.19 percent of the vote, followed by Robert Walker (23.5 percent) and Juan Paraiso (8.92 percent).
