This weekend in Sammamish

The Kiwanis Club of Sammamish will be bell ringing for the Eastside Baby Corner (EBC), outside the Safeway at the Sammamish Highlands Center. Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 12 and 13, bell ringers and an old fashioned band will be stationed near the supermarket to spread good cheer and welcome donations in the form of cash and baby supplies for needy families serviced by EBC.

On Sunday, Kiwanis members and the Skyline and Eastlake High School Key Clubs will also be caroling in front of Starbucks at the QFC shopping plaza.

On Sunday, Dec. 13, the Issaquah Highlands will host a Chanukah celebration and Menora lighting, between 4:30 and 7 p.m., at Blakely Hall. The event will feature a 10 ft. tall candy Menorah, the tallest in the Pacific Northwest, as well as latkes, fruits, drinks and lots of fun.For more information visit www.chabadissaquah.com., or call 425-985-7639.
