Three arrested in connection to Sammamish car prowls, identity theft

The trio arrested in Seattle's Marymoor Park were connected with thefts and fraud dating back to July 2014.

Patrol deputies in Seattle arrested two men and a woman linked to a rash of car prowls and thefts in Sammamish dating back to July.

On Oct. 30, the three were arrested in a silver Kia Sedona parked at Marymoor Park that was called in by a citizen as suspicious, according to a statement by the King County Sheriff’s Office. Earlier, a Sammamish detective developed probable cause for the arrest of the occupants of a vehicle matching that description.

A search warrant executed on the vehicle the following day by Sammamish police recovered evidence to three more cases of car prowls and identity theft in Sammamish. On Nov. 3, a search warrant executed on a storage unit provided evidence to additional cases. To date, the suspects now in custody have been linked to more than 30 cases of identity theft and car prowls in Sammamish, Seattle, Redmond, Mercer Island, and other jurisdictions throughout King County.

Charges were filed against all three suspects on four of the cases Nov. 4, with more charges expected.
