Truck fire on I-90 in Issaquah delays morning commute

A semi-trailer truck caught on fire at 6:41 a.m. on Interstate 90 just east of the Sunset Way exit in Issaquah this morning, causing delays for commuters.

A semi-trailer truck caught on fire at 6:41 a.m. on Interstate 90 just east of the Sunset Way exit in Issaquah this morning, causing delays for commuters.

According to Washington State Patrol, the fire began in the truck’s brakes, and spread to other parts of the vehicle. The driver was uninjured.

The center of left lanes of westbound I-90 were closed. The center lane was reopened at 7:25 a.m., with the left lane resuming normal operation at 8:05 a.m.
