UPDATE | Police find missing Redmond girl in downtown Seattle

A Redmond father reported his daughter, Abbey, missing from their east Redmond home Monday, according to a King County press release. He last saw her around 4 p.m.

UPDATE: The 10-year-old girl who was reported missing Monday from her east Redmond home was found unharmed in downtown Seattle at 9:20 p.m., according to a King County Sheriff’s Office press release.

When Abbey walked into a business near Eighth Avenue and Olive Street in Seattle, store employees called the Seattle Police Department. Abbey’s explanation for where she was — which was not released — matched witnesses who had reportedly seen the child and called police.

 

A Redmond father reported his 10-year-old daughter, Abbey, missing from their east Redmond home Monday evening, according to a King County press release. He last saw her around 4 p.m.

Abbey is about 5 feet tall and 95 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen in a red Pokemon T-shirt, a large gray hooded sweatshirt, black leggings, blue jean shorts and light turquoise Keen sandals.

The King County Sheriff’s Office issued a search and rescue, with tracking dogs and a helicopter assisting.

Authorities ask anyone who has seen Abbey or might know where she is to call 911 or the Sheriff’s Office communications center at 206-296-3311.
