Volunteer in a Sammamish park this Saturday

Beginning this Saturday, Feb. 27, the Sammamish Parks Department will be holding volunteer events to help keep our parks invasive free.

Beginning this Saturday, Feb. 27, the Sammamish Parks Department will be holding volunteer events to help keep our parks invasive free.

Each fourth Saturday, there will be a work party at one of our parks, to pull out invasive species and encourage the growth of native flora.

From 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. this Saturday, volunteers are need to help at Llama Landing, at NE 8th Street and 233rd Avenue NE.

Parking is available on the south side of NE 8th Street.

Volunteers 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult. All volunteers must have a Volunteer Agreement on file with the city.

If you do not have a volunteer agreement on file, please download one from www.ci.sammamish.wa.us/Volunteers and bring it with you to the volunteer event.

On Saturday, March 27, volunteer work parties will pull invasive species at Beaver Lake Park, near the dog park.
