Barbara Elliott, longtime resident of Issaquah and Sammamish, died on November 20, 2024, after suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Born May 1, 1945 to Charles and Ruth Elliott, she grew up in Port Orchard and attended the University of Washington. Upon returning to Washington state after six years in Arlington, VA, Barbara worked as a King County Public Nurse from 1980 to 2010, providing in-home care to newborn babies and their mothers.
Barbara was a loving, generous mother, grandmother and friend to many. She enjoyed children, baking, gardening and entertaining in her Pine Lake home. She was an active member of Eastshore Unitarian Church and in retirement volunteered at at KidVantage (formerly Eastside Baby Corner).
She is survived by her children, Laura and Cory Graves, their spouses James Brooks and Katrine Gorham, and granddaughters Josie and Kate Brooks.
