Frank Vincent LaSalata

Our beloved father, friend and King County District Court Judge, Frank V. LaSalata, passed away on September 1, 2012 at the age of 60, due to complications of his battle with cancer. Frank was born on March 7, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY as the only child of Michael and Sadie LaSalata. He lived on Long Island, NY until he moved to Washington in 1975. He married Mary Carnahan (later divorced) and they had 3 adored sons, Michael, Anthony and David. Frank graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Geology. After living in Centralia and working at WIDCo for several years, he pursued his dream of becoming a lawyer and in 1992 graduated from the University of Puget Sound Law School (now Seattle University). He practiced law for several years in Bellevue and then in Friday Harbor before attaining his goal of twice being elected as a King County District Court judge, where he presided until his death. Frank is survived by his sons, Michael (Kari), Tony (Lisa) and David (Arielle), and his wonderful grandchildren who brought him so much joy, Mika, Sydnie, Madison (Belle), Kaleb, Owen, Paige, Olivia and Vincent.
