KENNETH LYLE LEMASTER

Ken LeMaster, loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away on September 20, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. Born on August 28, 1938, Ken was a Seattle native. He attended Roosevelt High School, Central Washington University, and Willamette University College of Law. As a young man, he served in the US Air Force (Reserves), retiring as a Captain.

Ken was a successful trial attorney and a talented mediator. He began his legal career with Safeco Insurance Company and ultimately worked his way up to become Vice President (litigation) and Associate General Counsel. He also founded Settlement Now, a pro bono mediation program designed to reduce the backlog of cases pending in King County Superior Court.

Ken loved coaching, going to Husky football games, watching the Mariners play in sunny Arizona, writing, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nadine, sons Mark (LeAnn) and David (Jackie), brother Rich (a.k.a Byron), grandchildren Alexa, Lauren, Pauline, and Ben, and nieces and nephews.

A service celebrating Ken’s life will be held on Saturday, November 3rd, at 2PM at Crossroads Bible Church, 15815 SE 37th Street Bellevue, WA 98006. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the charity of your choice.
