The Washington State Patrol is placing radar and cameras at Snoqualmie Pass to catch people who speed through a construction zone. It’s a good move.

Construction zones are inherently dangerous to workers. They can’t do their job and watch out for speeding vehicles at the same time.

Those who don’t slow down will face a $137 citation. Giving workers a “brake” not only is safe, but also the financially right the thing to do.
