All four from Issaquah-Sammamish win on gridiron | Prep football news

Week Five was kind to local football teams, as each of the four picked up lopsided wins.

Crusaders drop Prep

Eastside Catholic won its third straight, walloping Seattle Prep 40-7 to push its Metro Mountain Division record to 2-0.

The Crusaders, which have outscored a pair of conference foes 89-13 in the past two weeks, face Rainier Beach on Friday before welcoming O’Dea in what will likely be a de facto division title game for the right to play for the Metro League title.

Eastlake back on track

The Wolves got back on track after a pair of losses, downing winless Inglemoor 38-20.

Eastlake plays only one more division game, next week against Woodinville, before traveling out of conference against Meadowdale and finishing the year against rival Redmond.

Skyline hitting stride

Skyline won its fourth consecutive game, this time 41-7 over Garfield, to move to 4-1 on the year and 2-0 in 4A KingCo Crown play.

The Spartans will take another trip to Memorial Stadium this week to face Ballard.

Issaquah keeps pace

Coach Chris Bennett’s Issaquah squad kept pace in the division, winning its second straight against a Crown foe, 35-13 over Roosevelt.

The Eagles welcome Garfield this week for homecoming after the Bulldogs were handled by Skyline last week.
