All four Issaquah-Sammamish squads land players on AP All-State football team | Prep football news

Eastside Catholic had four selections, while Issaquah, Skyline and Eastlake had one each in 4A.

The Associated Press released its All-State football teams, and each of the four teams from Issaquah-Sammamish found an honoree on the list.

Skyline senior Josh Wright was a first team selection on defense, and was one of only three KingCo players to land on the first team on offense, defense and special teams.

Eastlake senior Brandon Kaufman was a second team defense selection, and was joined by Issaquah senior defensive back Derek Chapman.

Eastside Catholic was the leader among local teams, landing four on the 3A squads.

Senior defensive lineman Elisha Pa’aga made the first team, with offensive linemen Drew Springfield and Alex Neale making the second team as well.

Junior linebacker Anthony Masaniai was a second team selection on defense to round out the Crusaders’ selections.
