Boddie is a force in the backfield for the Spartans

Skyline senior running back Rashaad Boddie will play college football for Colorado State University

Skyline Spartans senior running back Rashaad Boddie lets his play do the talking on the football field.

The soft-spoken Boddie verbally committed to the Colorado State University collegiate football program in September. The Spartans have put together a 6-1 overall record thus far. The 6-foot, 225-pound running back is focused on consistently improving his game.

“The thing for me is I just want to keep getting better to help this team. I’m focusing on improving my lateral movements,” Boddie said this past summer.

Boddie thrives running around defenders – as well as running through them.

“I like to do a little bit of both. I think its fun,” he said.

Boddie believes wholeheartedly in the coaching philosophy of Skyline head coach Mat Taylor and his staff.

“Coach Taylor knows what he is doing and what he is talking about. I believe in his system and I believe in his plays and this program,” Boddie said.

Recently the Issaquah/Sammamish Reporter had an opportunity to ask Boddie a few questions about his life away from the football field.
