Eastside Catholic made school history with a pair of title game appearances, but was unable to capture a crown in baseball or boys lacrosse.

Kamiakin tops EC for 3A baseball title

Eastside Catholic put the winning run on base in the bottom of the seventh inning but was unable to recreate the magic of its Metro League tournament title run, falling 3-2 to Kamiakin in the 3A state title game.

The Crusaders, which earned the trip to the finals with a 13-1 win over Kelso in the semis, were the first group in school history to make it past the state quarterfinal round.

Bellevue too much for Crusaders in lacrosse championship match

Eastside Catholic trailed by only two after the first quarter but was never able to gain a foothold against Bellevue, which took the boys Division I title with a 13-4 win at Seattle Memorial Stadium.

Andrew Gulrajani scored a game-high four goals for Bellevue while Colin MacIlvennie netted three for EC in the loss.

The Wolverines end the season with a 19-2-0 mark while the Crusaders finish 2012 with a record of 14-4-0.
