Issaquah wins KingCo 4A track title

The Issaquah Eagles girls track team tallied 166 total team points, earning first place at the KingCo 4A championships on May 13 at Juanita High School in Kirkland. Issaquah athletes capturing first place in their respective events consisted of Elise Burdette (200, 800 relay, 1600 relay), Nikki Stephens (400, 800 relay, 1600 relay), Sami Corman (800, 1600 relay), Priya Sidhu (400 relay), Colette Lertkantitham (400 relay), Alia Sugarman (400 relay, 800 relay) and Siarfo Abekah (400 relay, 800 relay, long jump) and Mackenzie Crandall (1600 relay).

Skyline nabs second place

The Skyline Spartans girls track team captured second place at the KingCo 4A championships, compiling 105 team points on May 13 at Juanita High School in Kirkland.

Skyline senior Brandi Hughes captured first place in the 100, 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles.

Eastlake captures fourth place

The Eastlake Wolves girls track collected fourth place at the KingCo 4A championships, tallying 83 team points on May 13 at Juanita High School in Kirkland. Eastlake senior Pia Richards finished in first place in the 3200 meter-run.

BOYS TRACK

Eagles finish in second place at KingCo

The Issaquah Eagles boys track team nabbed second place at the KingCo 4A championships, compiling 94 team points on May 13 at Juanita High School. Inglemoor finished in first place with 110 team points.

Rhoddy Jensen finished in first place in discus with a toss of 142 feet, 8 inches. Joe Nelson finished first in the high jump and triple jump.

Spartans nab fifth place finish

The Skyline Spartans boys track team finished in fifth place at the KingCo 4A championships, tallying 74 team points on May 13 at Juanita High School.

Skyline senior Lane Mallula captured first place in the 200-meter dash, clocking a time of 22.27. The 1600 relay team consisting of Tyler Ma, Ben Millett, Alexander Laucius and Mallula captured first place with time of 3:22.07.

Pixler captures an individual title

Eastlake senior Nathan Pixler finished in first place in the 800-meter at the KingCo 4A championships, clocking a time of 1:54.38.

BASEBALL

Skyline advances to Class 4A state tournament against Timberline

The Skyline Spartans baseball team will face Timberline in the first round of the Class 4A state playoffs at 10 a.m. on May 21 at Foss High School in Tacoma.

Eastside Catholic will compete at Class 3A state tourney

The Eastside Catholic Crusaders baseball team will play the Sumner Spartans in the first round of the Class 3A state playoffs at 1 p.m. on May 21 at Bannerwood Park in Bellevue.
