The Eastside Catholic girls soccer team kept its season alive Thursday night, crushing West Seattle 5-0 in a loser-out Metro League Tournament matchup.

The Crusaders scored three first-half goals, including one in the 1st minute from Malia Bachesta.

KK Standish added scores in the 38th and 39th minutes while Quinn Phillips and Elizabeth Escobar added second-half goals.

Goalkeeper Nemo Thomas recorded the shutout as Eastside Catholic improved to 9-6-5 overall.

The Crusaders will face Lake Washington, the KingCo 3A No. 2 team, at 3:30 p.m., Saturday in Kirkland. The winner of that game moves on to 3A state tournament as the District 2 No. 3 seed. The loser is done for the season.
