Eastside Catholic girls beat Issaquah, heads to Division II lacrosse title game

In the Crusaders’ win, Lauren Breynaert and Alex Foreman each scored three goals.

 

Emily Mincin scored three goals and Teagan Cameron had 10 saves as Issaquah’s season came to an end.

Eastside Catholic gets to play the championship game on its home turf at 11 a.m., Saturday against Kennedy Catholic. 

The Crusaders, which finished the regular season tied for third place with a 9-2-0 record, have won six straight. They are led by the league’s leading scorer, senior Alex Foreman with 60 goals and eight assists in the regular season, and two goals and four assists in the post season. 

Kennedy, which finished 2nd in the regular season at 10-1-0 has won six straight. The Lancers are led by senior captain Natalie Merrill with 47 goals and 21 assists in the regular season and nine post-season goals. She is the fourth leading scorer in Division II play.
