Kayla Flaten and Stacey Maier each won two individual events and helped the Eagles to two relay victories.

Flaten won the 50 freestyle in 26.02 seconds and the 100 fly in 1 minute, 3.56 seconds. Maier claimed the 100 freestyle in 56.84 and first in the 200 free in 2:03.76.

Kellie Langan won the 100 breaststroke in 1:18.43. The 200 medley relay of Flaten, Langan, Maier and Gabrielle Gevers; the 200 free relay of Flaten, Gevers, Maier and Kayla Foremski and the 400 free relay of Foremski, Emma Wrightson, Christina Kwon and Kylie Lynch also won.

Issaquah edged by Bothell in five games

Issaquah had its first victory of the season in its sights Thursday, before falling in five games to Bothell: 12-25, 25-23, 20-25, 25-21, 15-11.

Sam Rogers had 25 kills, 17 digs, seven aces and three blocks to lead the Eagles. Misty Siochi added 15 kills and 13 digs and Leanne Scott had 20 digs.

Issaquah fell to 0-2 in league and 0-4 overall.

Roosevelt sweeps Eastlake

Roosevelt defeated Eastlake in three games Thursday night: 25-19, 25-11, 25-16.

Sarah O’Connor led the Roughriders with 13 kills. No stats were reported for the Wolves, who dropped to 0-1 in league and 1-3 overall.

SOCCER

Eastlake ties Redmond

Eastlake held a lead for a majority of Thursday’s contest with Redmond, eventually tying their rivals, 1-1.

Brenna Drummond scored an unassisted goal in the 8th minute, giving the Wolves a 1-0 lead.

Sierra Bilginer knotted the game in the 70th minute via an assist from Kennedy Kieneker.

Eastlake moved to 1-0-1 in league and 3-1-3 overall.

Roosevelt rallies late to tie Issaquah

Issaquah held a two-goal lead until Roosevelt scored two unassisted goals in the game’s final four minutes, ending it in a 2-2 tie.

The Eagles scored in the 1st minute via Delany Foreman’s goal and tacked on another in the 13th minute via a score from Annie Hoffman. Audrey Thomas had assists on both scores.

Issaquah moved to 1-0-1 in league and 3-3-1 overall.

Eastlake remains unbeaten

Eastlake kept its record flawless Thursday afternoon, beating Garfield 193-241 at Sahalee Country Club.

The Wolves’ Spencer Weiss led all golfers with an even par, 36.

RP McCoy was second with a 37, Will Sharp was third with a 38, Paul Russo was fourth with a 41 and Li Wang and Michael Everson tied for fifth with 42s.

Redmond edges Skyline by four strokes

Brian Mogg earned medalist honors Thursday afternoon for Skyline, but the Spartans came up short to Redmond 195-199 at Bear Creek Golf Course.

Mogg shot an even par, 36. Teammates Kelley Sullivan and Austin Nutt tied for fourth place with 40s.

Woodinville claims top three spots to down Issaquah

Woodinville claimed the top three positions Thursday afternoon at Echo Falls Golf Course, beating Issaquah 194-204.

The Falcons’ Garrett Foss won with a 1 over par, 37, while Issaquah’s Austin Kinzar finished fourth with a 40.

TENNIS

Issaquah knocks off Redmond

Issaquah earned a pair of singles victories and a pair of doubles victories Thursday to defeat Redmond 4-3.

No. 3 singles player Richard Bennett beat Kevin Wong, 6-1, 6-3 and No. 4 player David Park defeated Paul Dewater, 6-1, 7-6 (7-4).

John Brendel and Matt Gonn defeated Austin Smith and Riley Wood at the No. 1 doubles spot, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, while Ken Kida and Daniel Park beat  Bryan Owen and Diasuke Tsukamo 6-3, 6-2.

Eastlake falls to Roosevelt

Eastlake earned wins at the top two singles spots on Thursday, but fell 5-2 to Roosevelt.

Vincente Varas remained undefeated, earning a 6-0, 5-7, 6-3 win over Jack Streeter and Mitch Loofburrow defeated Dustin McPhillips 7-6 (8-6), 6-3.
