Gymnastics | Issaquah captures third at league meet

Issaquah finished third at Saturday's KingCo 4A championship meet at Ballard, grabbing the third and final District 1/2 team seed. The Eagles earned 172.7 points, behind Woodinville (181.625) and Bothell (177.025). Ballard (167.025) and Newport (166.75) rounded out the top five.

Olivia Goree had the highest all-around performance for the Eagles finishing seventh overall with 35.95 points. Risa Fukuda finished in ninth place in all-around with 35.575 points. Goree tied Bothell’s Molly Michaluk for for first on the floor with a 9.45.

Issaquah will send nine of its team members on to the District 1/2 meet at 1 p.m., Saturday at Sammamish High School.

Skyline was seventh in the KingCo meet with 140.3 points. Eastlake finished ninth with 137.6 points.
