Issaquah scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning on Thursday to beat Garfield 10-8 and break a three-game losing skid.

Trailing 7-6, Ethan Kalin started things off with a two-run triple and Justin Reynolds and Jack Gellatly followed with RBI hits of their own.

Pitcher Scott Boydston picked up the victory in relief, allowing one run in the bottom of the seventh.

The Eagles collected 15 hits against Bulldog pitching. Jake Bakamus was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI, Brandon Mahovlich was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI and Ben Roselini was 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Issaquah improved to 2-4 in league and 3-8 overall. The Eagles are next scheduled to face Inglemoor at 3:45 p.m., today in Issaquah. They host Mount Rainier at 11 a.m., tomorrow.

Skyline blanked by Woodinville

Woodinville pitcher Marty Luckenbach held Skyline to just four hits over a complete seven innings Thursday, helping the Falcons to a 6-0 victory.

Woodinville only earned four hits of its own off of Spartan starter Matt Lunde, but the Falcons were helped by three errors.

Brandon Fischer led Skyline at the plate, going 2-for-3.

The Spartans fell to 2-3 in league and 4-6 overall. They will host Inglemoor next, at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Bothell 10-runs Eastlake

Bothell made quick work of Eastlake Thursday night, picking up a 10-0, five-inning victory.

Brian McAfee pitched the complete five innings, allowing five hits and striking out nine. He also went 3-for-3 at the plate with three RBI.

Eastlake was led by Nick Kassuba, who recorded a double.

The Wolves, who have lost five straight, dropped to 0-4 in league and 3-5 overall. They are scheduled to host Roosevelt next at 4 p.m., Monday.

Eastside Catholic crushes Grant

Mike Rambaldini scored a season-high five goals to lead Eastside Catholic to a 15–5 defeat of Grant High School, Thursday in Portland, Ore.

The Crusaders took control of Grant in the first, outscoring the Generals 6–1 before extending their lead to 9–2 at the half.

Rambaldini also contributed six ground balls and Kyle Decker netted four goals to help drive the Crusaders.  Geoff Parent netted 3 goals to lead the Generals in scoring.

Eastside Catholic (5-2-0) continues is Oregon road swing on Friday, April 8 with a 7 p.m. start against Beaverton.

Issaquah drops second straight in New Jersey

Jake Fritz scored two goals and Duncan Hamilton netted one on Thursday as Issaquah fell 10–3 to an undefeated Lawrenceville in New Jersey.

Issaquah scored first on Hamilton’s goal, but was unable to build momentum against a highly talented Lawrenceville squad. The Big Red built on a 5–1 first quarter lead to take a comfortable 7–1 margin into the half.

The loss dropped Issaquah to 7-3 and was the second defeat on the Eagles’ three-game spring break road swing through New Jersey.

Issaquah (7-3-0) next faces The Peddie School, on Saturday, April 9 in Hightstown, N.J.
