Issaquah’s hopes of continuing into the KingCo 4A basketball playoffs were eliminated Saturday night in a 77-73 double-overtime loss to Bothell.

The Eagles, who needed to win their final three games and hope for a pair of Eastlake losses, gave it their all.

Nick Price led Issaquah with 27 points. Fletcher Martin scored 16 and Nik Landdeck had 10.

Bothell’s Prince Lacey led all scorers with 33 points.

The Eagles dropped to 3-9 in league and 6-12 overall. They host rival Skyline at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday and close the season out at 8 p.m., Friday in Redmond.

Eastlake wraps up playoff berth

Eastlake secured a playoff berth Saturday, despite losing 70-64 at Inglemoor.

The Wolves were helped by beating Issaquah 76-70 Friday night and Issaquah’s loss to Bothell on Saturday.

Eastlake was led Friday by Mike Miller’s 18 points. Nick Kassuba scored 13 and Brandon Lester added 10.

Conner Iraola led all scorers in a losing effort on Saturday with 22 points.

The Wolves moved to 6-7 in league and 9-10 overall. Eastlake closes the regular season at 8 p.m., Friday at home against league-leader Skyline. Depending on how Redmond and Newport do, the Wolves could finish anywhere between second and fourth in the KingCo Crest.

Skyline splits a pair, stays atop Crest

Skyline earned a big home win over Newport 59-44 on Friday before falling 69-57 at Garfield on Saturday.

The Spartans, who are in sole possession of first place in the KingCo Crest, were led in Friday’s win by Kasen Williams’ 21 points. Lucas Shannon scored 16 and Teran Togia had 11.

Skyline battled toe-to-toe with top-ranked Garfield through the first half of Saturday’s game, trailing just 30-29 at halftime. University of Washington-bound Tony Wroten led the Bulldogs with 32 points. Lucas Shannon scored 18 for Skyline.

The Spartans are now 8-4 in league and 12-6 overall. They close the regular season out this week at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday at Issaquah and 8 p.m., Friday at home against Eastlake.

Eastside Catholic drops a pair

Eastside Catholic dropped two games over the weekend, falling 64-52 at Chief Sealth and 58-37 at Seattle Prep.

Joey Schreiber led the Crusaders on Friday with 24 points. Skyler White had a team-high 10 points for Eastside on Saturday.

The Crusaders dropped to 4-10 in league and 6-12 overall. They close the regular season out at 6:15 p.m., Friday at home against Lakeside.
