The Eagles, ranked No. 10 in the latest Washington State Coaches Association Cross Country poll, seventh-ranked Skyline, which tallied 39 points. Roosevelt (67), Eastlake (87) and Newport (134) rounded out the field.

Issaquah’s Kevin LeMond nabbed second place, finishing 4 seconds behind Skyline’s Kyle Branch, who won in 16 minutes, 19 seconds. Dennis Leigh (16:30) took third, Jon Wallis (16:38) was fifth, Turner Wiley (16:39) was sixth, and Isaac Robinson (16:42) was seventh for the Eagles.

Matt Frerker (16:31) finished fourth overall for Skyline.

Eastlake girls score perfect meet

Eastlake earned all top five places Wednesday afternoon at Beaver Lake, scoring a 15 and beating four other teams. Skyline (64), Newport (81), Issaquah (102) and Roosevelt (116) rounded out the field.

Katelyn Steen won the overall race in a time of 19 minutes, 15 seconds. Teammates Morgan O’Connor (19:30), Erin Blodnick (19:48), Haley O’Connor (20:08) and Allie Dorsey (20:25), rounded out the top five.

Elise Pletcher had the highest finish for Skyline, taking seventh place in 20:28. Nicole Migotsky finished ninth for Issaquah in 20:44.
