Eagles conquer Mustangs with season on the line

The Issaquah Eagles defeated the Redmond Mustangs 84-54 in a loser-out Class 4A District II playoff game on Feb. 21 at Redmond High School in Redmond. The Eagles, who are the No. 2 seed out of District II, will face the Jackson Timberwolves in a winner-to-state, loser-out regional playoff game at 8 p.m. on Feb. 28 at Everett Community College.

Crusaders win nail-biter against Franklin

The Eastside Catholic Crusaders registered a come-from-behind 62-61 victory against the Franklin Quakers in a loser-out Class 3A Sea-King District II playoff game on Feb. 20 at Bellevue College. The Crusaders defeated Lakeside 69-63 on Feb. 21, clinching the No. 5 seed out of District II. Eastside Catholic will face the Wilson Rams in a winner-to-state, loser-out regional playoff game at 8 p.m. on Feb. 28 at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma.

Eagles capture fourth place at state swim meet

The Issaquah Eagles tallied 162 team points en route to a fourth place finish at the Class 4A state swim meet on Feb. 21 at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.The Eastlake Wolves finished in ninth place with 124 points.
