Issaquah 36, Inglemoor 7

The Eagles continued to soar Friday night, beating Inglemoor 36-7 at Pop Keeney Stadium, and improving their record to 3-0.

Issaquah got off to a fast start with a 4-yard touchdown pass from Joey Bradley to Ross Zuhl. Running back Grant Gellatly gave the Eagles a 13-0 halftime lead with a 9-yard score. Inglemoor scored first in the second half, but from there it was all Issaquah. Bradley, who was 15 of 21 for 241 yards, hit Nik Landdeck for a 33-yard strike and Zuhl for a 61-yard score. Gellatly, who carried 12 times for 63 yards, added another score from 1-yard out — his ninth of the season.

Issaquah’s defense shut Inglemoor down, earning three sacks and holding the Vikings to less than 30 yards of total offense in the second half.

Issaquah kicks off the KingCo Crest season tonight at home against Garfield.

Issaquah vs. Garfield

Kickoff: 7 p.m. tonight at home

Quick look: The Bulldogs are 0-3 this season, most recently falling 42-13 to Roosevelt. Garfield features the top prospect in the state in defensive end Deandre Coleman, a 6-foot-5, 295-pound senior. The Bulldogs have, however, struggle to stop teams and score, losing by a combined score of 118-40 this season.

Prediction: Issaquah is playing in front of its homecoming crowd this Friday — not a pleasant sight for a struggling Garfield team. Final score: 49-7 Issaquah.

Eastside Catholic 28, North Mason 7

The Crusaders rebounded from a tough road loss to Archbishop Murphy, downing non-league North Mason 28-7 on Friday.

Eastside Catholic was led by junior quarterback Eddie Faw, who completed two touchdown passes — a 27-yard pass to Nick Tengtio and a 20-yard pass to Spencer Esau. Mike Bush ran for 157 yards on 21 carries and scored on a 16-yard run. Marion Bactol ran for 76 yards on six carries and added a 6-yard TD. The Crusaders had nine players total 321 rushing yards.

Eastside Catholic improved to 2-1 in non-league play and prepares to open its brand new stadium at 7 p.m., tomorrow against Metro opponent Lakeside.
