The Eagles, who improved to 5-0, placed four runners in the top five led by winner Ellie Hendrickson. The freshman finished the 3-mile course in 19 minutes, 24 seconds.

Issaquah’s Ellie Clawson and Rachel Osgood tied for second in 19:27, while Abby Wilson placed fifth in 20:14.

The Issaquah boys lost 18-41 to Ballard. Junior Tom Howe tied for Ballard’s Victor Bailey for second in a time of 16:40. Alex Browns won the race in 15:46.

Eastside Catholic back on track

Eastside Catholic cruised to its third straight victory Wednesday, beating Lakeside in three games: 25-18, 25-15, 25-18.

Katherine Towslee led the Crusaders with 13 kills, followed by Kameron Mclain’s 12.

Hannah Christie had 22 assists and Marlena Norwood had 12 digs.

Eastside Catholic improved to 7-1 in league and 9-1 overall with the victory. The Crusaders face Blanchet next at 7 p.m., on Monday.
