The win also gives Issaquah one of the two automatic bids to the regional round of the state tournament.

Ryan Sexton added 11 points in the win and helped a pestering defense that forced the Cougars into 16 turnovers.

Perrion Callandret paced Bothell with 23 points.

The Eagles, which took a 34-19 lead into the half, will face Garfield for the league championship next week.

Skyline lost back-to-back games to in-state competition for the first time this year, falling to Roosevelt in a season-ending loss at the 4A KingCo tournament.

The Spartans had reeled off 10 straight wins and were ranked in the top five by most outlets before the consecutive postseason losses ended the season.
