Audrey Thomas and Deanna Dakar scored goals in the 7th and 8th minutes, respectively.

Jocelyn Eng added the first of her two scores in the 18th minute. Casey Kovarik scored an unassisted goal in the 29th minute, helping the Eagles to a 4-0 halftime lead.

Eng tacked on one more score in the 54th minute, helping Issaquah to a 4-0-1 league and 6-3-1 overall record.

Skyline blanks Ballard

Skyline used two second-half goals Tuesday to defeat Ballard 2-0 in Sammamish.

The Spartans, who out-shot the Beavers 19-5, scored in the 47th minute when Maddie Christ found Jackie Wilson on a corner kick.

Sydne Tingey added an insurance goal in the 61st minute via an assist from Rachel Shim.

Goalkeeper Tina Vargas recorded the shutout as Skyline improved to 4-0 in league and 8-0-1 overall.

Eastlake earns fifth straight tie

For the fifth consecutive game Tuesday, Eastlake ended in a tie with an opponent.The Wolves finished in a 0-0 stalemate with Inglemoor, moving their record to 1-0-3 in league and 3-1-6 overall.

Skyline drops second straight

After winning its first six matches, Skyline dropped its second straight Tuesday night, falling to Newport in three games: 26-24, 25-22, 25-20.

Maddie Magee led the Spartans with 16 kills.Halle Erdahl added seven kills, Marissa Fortier had four blocks and Madison Stoa recorded 21 assists.

Skyline dropped to 2-2 in league and 6-2 overall.

Eastlake falls in three games

Garfield defeated Eastlake in three games Tuesday night: 25-17, 26-24, 25-20.

Jazmine Johnson-McCoy led the Bulldogs with 25 kills. No stats were reported for the Wolves, who dropped to 2-3 in league and 3-4 overall.

Skyline nets win over Bothell

Skyline won all but one match Tuesday afternoon, beating Bothell 6-1.

Aman Manji led the way at No. 1 singles, beating Jake Arlin 6-1, 6-0.

Prithvi Ramkumar and Tim Wong also earned singles victories for the Spartans.

Brayden Hansen and Alex Wu; Inchul You and Nick Ziats; and Manuel Larrain and Griffin Johnson picked up doubles victories for the Spartans.

Varas remains undefeated for Eastlake

Eastlake fell 6-1 to Newport Tuesday afternoon, but the Wolves’ No. 1 singles player Vincente Varas kept his record flawless.

The senior defeated the Knights’ No. 1 player Ryan Cheung in two sets, 6-1, 6-1.

Varas, the two-time defending KingCo 4A champion, is now 11-0 on the season.
