Skyline scored two runs in the fourth and two more in the sixth to beat Issaquah 4-3, as senior Drew Lunde worked a complete game to get the win.

Jason Santiago had three base hits for the Spartans, while Brad Hoss knocked in a pair of runs.

Lunde gave up only two hits and three runs, two earned, while walking five and striking out six Issaquah batters.

He stranded five Eagles on the afternoon.

Skyline faces Newport Wednesday in Bellevue, while Issaquah hosts Garfield Tuesday.

Eastlake 6 Woodinville 1

Mitch Augenstein and Max Escarda combined for five hits and Augenstein knocked in four runs as the Wolves took care of Woodinville.

Girls tennis

Skyline 7 Bothell 0

Julia Lioubarski, Jasmine Ye, Sherry Huang and Tarika Sivakumar won singles matches, and the Spartans also swept the doubles pairs in straight sets to take down Bothell.

Eastside Catholic’s Vachris honored

Eastside Catholic junior Valerie Vachris, an attacker for the Crusaders girls lacrosse team, was honored by US Lacrosse Washington as one of its Players of the Week for the second week of the season.

Vachris scored 13 goals in two EC wins, 15-13 against Overlake and 11-7 over Mercer Island.
