More than 1,600 athletes participated in Sunday’s annual 5K and 10K Rotary Run at Salmon Days.

More than 1,600 athletes participated in Sunday’s annual 5K and 10K Rotary Run at Salmon Days.

Patrick McAuliffe of Seattle finished with the fastest time in the 10K at 30 minutes, 53 seconds. Vanessa Hunter of Seattle had the fastest women’s time of the day, finishing in 34:28. Other top five male finishers included Robert Pritchett (31:10), Angelo Baca (31:12), Destry Johnson (31:34) and Scott Halliday (31:47).

Other top five female finishers included Kristi Houk (36:44), Erika Daliglon (38:11), Karen Steen (38:21) and Nell Stephenson (39:01).

Simon Sorensen of Issaquah won the male 5K in a time of 15:41, while Lisa Knoblich of Issaquah won the women’s race in a time of 19:30.

Both races started and ended at Joe’s Sporting Goods on Gilman Boulevard. Cash awards of $200, $100 and $50 were given to first through third place finishers in the 10K. Other race proceeds went to support the Science and Management of Addictions (SAMA) Foundation.
