Issaquah received a much-needed boost in its last two games, beating Newport 73-66 on Friday, and besting Ballard 61-45 on Tuesday.

The Eagles improved to 3-2 in league and 4-5 overall with the wins.

Senior Robby Primrose led Issaquah in the two contests with 19 and 21 points, respectively.

Crusaders win streak ends

Eastside Catholic’s three-game win streak came to an end Tuesday night with a 47-45 loss to Lakeside. The Crusaders fell behind early, trailing 15-5 after one quarter. EC outscored Lakeside by six in the second half, but came up just shy. Nile Kramer led the Crusaders with 12 points. Connor Holden had 10. Eastside earned its third straight win Friday, beating Nathan Hale 56-42. Kramer scored a season-high 23 in the win. The Crusaders are now 2-5 in league and 4-5 overall.

Skyline ends losing skid

Skyline built and early lead and held on for a 56-50 win over Roosevelt Tuesday night at home. The Spartans ended a two-game losing streak and improved to 3-3 in league and 5-5 overall. Skyline was led by the game-high 17 points of Nick Crossan. Cory Hutsen added 16. The Spartans dropped their previous two games, falling 52-46 to Redmond on Friday and 82-60 to Garfield on Saturday.

Wolves rout Kangaroos

Eastlake claimed its first league win of the season Tuesday night, crushing Lake Washington 63-47.

Three players reached double-digits, led by Michael Russo’s 17. Michael Maguire scored 15 and Scott Payton had 15. The Wolves improved to 1-5 in league and 2-8 overall. Eastlake, which fell 78-39 to Garfield on Friday, had lost eight consecutive games.

Skyline won its fifth straight game Monday, beating Bothell 50-31 at SHS. Carlie Wolken led the Spartans with 17 points. Lindsey Perry had 13 and Kassia Fortier had 10. Skyline, which improved to 4-1 in league and 6-2 overall, beat Redmond 45-44 on Friday. Perry led the team with 18 points.

Issaquah defeated league foe Newport 54-47 on Friday, before dropping a non-league matchup 43-39 to Bellevue on Saturday.

The Eagles, who trailed by two headed into the fourth quarter against Newport, were led by Erin Nicol’s 17 points. Issaquah was 3-1 in league and 5-3 overall prior to Wednesday’s game against Ballard.

Eastside still in search of win

Eastside Catholic fell to 0-8 Friday, losing 43-29 to Nathan Hale. The Crusaders got over half their points from Kimmie Koehler, who scored 15.
