Skyline defeated Plateau rival Eastlake in five sets during Monday night’s regular-season finale — 25-19, 20-25, 25-19, 23-25, 15-13.

The Spartans, who secured the No. 4 spot in KingCo with the win, improved to 7-4 in league and 7-7 overall.

Maddie Magee paced Skyline with a match high 21 kills. Madison Stoa served up 43 assists and Paige Haas had a team-high 10 digs.

Eastlake, which fell to 5-6 in league and 6-7 overall and seventh place in KingCo, was led by Alyssa Charlston’s 10 kills. Mercedes Bass had 26 assists and Claire Salmon had a match high 21 digs. Skyline will begin the double-elimination KingCo tournament at 1 p.m., Saturday against Newport at Woodinville High School. Eastlake will will play No. 2 Bothell at 3 p.m., Saturday at Bothell High School.

Issaquah blanks Newport

Issaquah secured the No. 3 seed in the KingCo tournament on Monday night, beating Newport in three sets — 25-22, 25-21, 25-21.

Rachel Roeder and Alyssa Schultz had a team-high 10 kills apiece, while Riley Sorenson dished up 32 assists.

Issaquah ended the regular season with a 9-2 league and 9-5 overall record. The Eagles begin the KingCo tournament against sixth-seeded Ballard at 1 p.m., Saturday in Bothell.
