Issaquah still alive, Eastlake bounced from 4A KingCo tourney

Issaquah fell by only a point to Bothell, 54-53, in the second round of the 4A KingCo boys basketball tournament on Friday at Juanita High School. The loss sent the Eagles to a loser-out game with Inglemoor on Tuesday at 4:45 p.m. at Juanita.

The winner will face the survivor of another loser-out game between Newport and Ballard. Garfield will play Bothell in the title game on Saturday.

The Knights dropped Eastlake 50-47 on Friday to end the Wolves’ season.

Eastside Catholic sent Mount Si packing with a 55-50 win that moved the Crusaders into Tuesday’s second round against Rainier Beach in a 8:15 p.m. tip time at Chief Sealth.

Skyline to title game, Issaquah, Eastlake battling for third

Skyline topped Newport 47-33 in the semi-finals to cruise to the 4A KingCo tournament title game against Inglemoor on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and lock up one of the conference’s two automatic state berths. The Vikes handled Issaquah 58-33 in another semi-final.

Eastlake survived Bothell 64-43 in a loser-out game and will play another against the Eagles on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Juanita. The winner will keep its season going and face the winner of another game between Newport and Bothell.
