The Skyline girls ran away with the Issaquah School District meet Thursday afternoon earning 91 team points. Issaquah finished second with 48 points and Liberty was third with 39.

The Skyline girls ran away with the Issaquah School District meet Thursday afternoon earning 91 team points. Issaquah finished second with 48 points and Liberty was third with 39.

The Spartans won 11 events, getting multiple victories from junior Haley Ziegler in the shot put (33-5 1/4) and the discus (93-11), and Amber Dodd in the 100 hurdles (16.0) and 300 hurdles (46.2).

Other individual Spartan winners included Shealee O’Donnell (100), Kathryn Steele (1,600), Sydne Tingey (high jump), Lindsay Coutts (long jump) and Marissa Fortier (triple jump). The 400 relay of Dodd, Michelle Bretl, Kassia Fortier and O’Donnell; and the 800 relay of Dodd, Bretl, Fortier and O’Donnell also finished first.

Issaquah had four first-place finishers. Haley Jacobson won the 200 (25.9), Arielle Walton won the 3,200 (12:00.8), Kelley Chen won the javelin (108-7) and Eva Perry won the pole vault (11-0).

The Liberty boys edged Skyline, 65-61, for the meet title claiming eight events. Peter Stacy helped the Patriots winning all three throwing events. Troy Solly picked up two victories in the 110 high hurdles (16.0) and 300 hurdles (39.9).

Skyline was led by multiple victories from Alex Lee and Kasen Williams. Lee took first in the 100 (11.1) and 200 (22.4), while Williams won the high jump (6-10) and long jump (23-6).

Drew Matthews won the 400 in 50.5 seconds, and the Spartan 400 relay finished first in 43.4 seconds.

Issaquah finished third with 55 team points.

Kevin LeMond won the 800 (1:58.5), Isaac Robinson won the 1,600 (4:29.8) and Jason Hollaway won the pole vault (13-6).

Eastlake boys finish first at Lake Washington School District meet

The Eastlake boys ran away with Thursday’s four-team Lake Washington School District at Juanita High School with 262 points. Juanita (171), Redmond (150) and Lake Washington (117) rounded out the field.

The Wolves earned 10 first-place finishes, led by Jeff Sloat’s victories in the 110 high hurdles (16.0) and 300 hurdles (38.94), and W. Devin Bennett’s wins in the long jump (20-3) and triple jump (41-10 1/2).

Other individual Eastlake winners included Daniel Jackstadt (100), Brandon Cole (400), Gino Bresolin (shot put) and Sean Ross (pole vault). The 400 relay of Bennett, Jackstadt, Ian Gelfer

and Robert Moore finished first in 43.87 and the 1,600 relay of Paul Kupcis, Sloat, Jackstadt and Cole was first in 3:30.43.

The Eastlake girls finished fourth of four teams on Thursday with 94 team points. Redmond (285.5), Juanita (237.5) and Lake Washington (113) took the top three spots.
