Skyline remains undefeated

The Skyline Spartans cruised to a 44-7 victory against the Mount Si Wildcats in a battle between Class 4A KingCo rivals Sept. 18 at Eastlake High School in Sammamish. The Spartans scored 30 points in the first half. Skyline (3-0) will face the Woodinville Falcons at 7 p.m. on Sept. 25 in Woodinville.

Issaquah captures win on the road

For the second consecutive week, the Issaquah Eagles earned a win on the gridiron. Issaquah rolled to a 28-6 win against the Inglemoor Vikings on Sept. 18 in Kenmore. Issaquah (2-1) will host the Eastlake Wolves in a rivalry showdown at 7 p.m. on Sept. 25 at Gary Moore Stadium in Issaquah.

Gig Harbor dominates Eastlake

The Gig Harbor Tides registered a 40-6 win against the Eastlake Wolves in a non-league game Sept. 17 in Gig Harbor. Eastlake (2-1) will face the Issaquah Eagles in a rivalry showdown at 7 p.m. on Sept. 25 at Gary Moore Stadium in Issaquah.

Crusaders crush Eagles

In their home opener, the Eastside Catholic Crusaders  gave the hometown crowd plenty to cheer about. The Crusaders rolled to a 61-6 win against the Arlington Eagles in a non-league game Sept. 18 at Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish. The Crusaders (3-0) will face Lakeside at 6 p.m. on Sept. 25 in Seattle.

Skyline conquers Puyallup

In a battle between two perennial state contenders the Skyline Spartans came out on top against the Puyallup Vikings. Skyline registered a 1-0 win against Puyallup on Sept. 17 at Sparks Stadium in downtown Puyallup. Spartans’ sophomore Emma Rohleder scored the lone goal of the game on an assist from Lindsey Fujiwara. Skyline goalies Anna Smith and Molly Monroe combined for the shutout. The Spartans improved their overall record to 2-1-3.
