Skyline rolls past Garfield, Eastlake outlasts Inglemoor | Prep football news

The Spartans and Wolves picked up wins in 4A KingCo Thursday night games in Week 5.

Skyline and Eastlake got Week 5 going a night earlier than usual and each came away with a double-digit Thursday win.

The Wolves downed winless Inglemoor 38-20 to get back in the win column after a pair of losses, first to the Spartans and to Bothell last week.

Eastlake took a 14-6 lead into the half before scoring twice more in the third quarter to take control. Senior running back Troy Lewis finished with a pair of scores on the ground while Joe Longcore and Jeffrey Feinglas caught scores from quarterback Blue Thomas.

Eric Uhlar took one of the three interceptions by the defense back for a score in the first half for Eastlake, which faces Woodinville back at Pop Kenney Stadium next week.

Skyline had little trouble with Garfield in its Crown Division game at Memorial Stadium and led 28-0 after just one quarter en route to a 41-7 win.

Senior quarterback Kilton Anderson ran in his team’s first score of the night and threw another to Chandler Wong, who also had a rushing touchdown before the first quarter expired.

Cole Blackburn returned a first quarter punt for a touchdown and also caught an Anderson pass to cap the scoring for Skyline in the win.

The Spartans meet Ballard next week. The Beavers entered the week 2-2, with lopsided losses to 3A Metro League opponents Blanchet and O’Dea and faced Newport Friday.
